stuff for a quiet day

word reaches me that the departure are too lift one final track from their debut album as a single. however, things a not quite as straightforward as getting said beauty from woolies. tis a 7" limited (only 2000 copies) affair, green vinyl with poster and sticker.  which accoprding to the blurb will not be elligible for chart positioning.

why ? dont the bpi like green vinyl ?

anyways, back to the program : reviews posted for new albums by lotek hi-fi, broadcast and the latest badly named opus from the dandy warhols, then there is also stuff about debut eps by leave land for water and christiansilva  here

other things i have found difficult to come to terms with : i like lifeblood by manic street preachers. i have always avoided the manics since they ramped up the overblown production, but on their last album, 'lifeblood', things were pulled back, james sings with more laidback focus as opposed to trying to scream you into submission. a great find for £3 that's for sure.

can i go home now?
